Innovation

We have extensive experience of working closely with companies in the engineering and manufacturing sectors – from micro enterprises to some of the largest companies in Ireland.

In the current economic climate many of the larger OEMs – locally, nationally and internationally – have suffered significantly and this pain has been passed down through the supply chain. Consequently, many smaller firms who have traditionally relied almost exclusively on sub-contract fabrication work with the larger OEMs have found that much of their business has disappeared.

The need for innovation and diversification on the part of indigenous businesses has therefore become much more pressing in recent times. Innovation, in our view, can take many guises but typically incorporates:

  • Product development… broadening the product range which can be marketed to both existing and new customers
  • Customer service… maximising the probability of existing business retention through an enhanced offering to customers
  • Provision of added value services… facilitating the efforts of SMEs to position themselves further up the supply chain and to find new customers / markets

“We have used Full Circle extensively to help us to embed a culture of innovation within our business. This whole process has involved us looking at the fundamentals of our business and making big changes where this was necessary. We are now driving change by introducing a new range of products and have recently set up a sister company – H360 – which is a product design consultancy firm in its own right”.
Mark Hutchinson, Hutchinson Engineering

“Full Circle worked with us to research the market potential for a range of new conveyor systems for the global quarrying industry as part of our commitment to bring to market a range of own-brand products. The market research involved talking to potential dealers on a global basis and this work really confirmed to us that our ideas for Next Generation conveyor systems were realistic and viable”.
